As a Scrum Master to join our team at TrendMiner you will play a vital role in enabling our Agile development teams to deliver high-quality software products efficiently. You will guide and support our teams in adopting and implementing Scrum principles and practices, ensuring successful project execution and continuous improvement. Essential functions

  • Facilitate Agile Practices: Serve as a servant leader and coach for our Agile development teams, guiding them in applying Agile principles, values, and practices effectively.
  • Scrum Master Role: Act as a Scrum Master for multiple teams, fostering an environment of collaboration, trust, and transparency. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Team Support: Provide support to the development team, removing impediments, and enabling their success. Ensure that the team has a clear understanding of project objectives, priorities, and scope.
  • Agile Adoption: Collaborate with stakeholders to promote Agile adoption and continuous improvement within the organization. Educate and mentor team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, practices, and values.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key Agile metrics, such as team velocity, burn-down charts, and other relevant performance indicators. Use data-driven insights to drive improvements and support decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals and requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work with teams to implement necessary changes. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Agile practices and suggest adaptations as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and other teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of product increments. Facilitate effective communication and manage expectations.

Minimum requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in software development environments
  • Agile Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile principles, values, and frameworks, particularly Scrum. Demonstrated experience in applying Agile practices effectively in real-world projects.
  • Scrum Master Certification: Possess a Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM), Professional Scrum Master® (PSM)).
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate Agile development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to identify and remove impediments, anticipate and resolve issues, and promote team productivity and efficiency.
  • Continuous Learning: Passion for learning and staying up to date with industry trends and emerging Agile practices. Willingness to share knowledge and mentor team members.
