  • The Solution Sales Account Manager at TrendMiner is responsible to grow sales for our software in the EMEA region. The role has both a direct sales component as a (sales) support function for the local sales team. Presentations and product demo’s are part of the Solution Sales Account Managers responsibility. The ideal candidate is a result driven, highly self-motivated, ambitious and hard-working individual with some experience in industrial software sales in Oil&Gas and/or Chemicals. The candidate should have a practical, hands-on mentality. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized person who can support our company’s rapid growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains relationships with prospective accounts.
  • Follows up on marketing generated leads to drive pipeline
  • Supports the local sales team with (chemical) market knowledge, TrendMiner specific knowledge, presentations and demos. 
  • Supports the local sales team with any TrendMiner related question from prospects or customers
  • Acts as the liaison for the TrendMiner global team into the EMEA region. 
  • Defines the account strategy in an account plan , and leads the execution. Reports frequently to the VP of Global Sales and the local  to show progress
  • Travels to customer locations to present company products, services and pricing information in a professional manner.
  • Maintains appropriate records for the development of sales forecasts for each account in our CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Submits appropriate paperwork to management such as expense reports and call reports in accordance with TrendMiner’s procedures.
  • Understands and supports company sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective service to all customers, and foster the development of long term business relationships.
  • Attends training activities and trade shows on behalf of company to present information

Requirements and Experience

  • Requirements 

    The following are essential requirements:


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Sales 
    • In-depth knowledge of Sales processes and funnels
    • Fully proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM systems


    • Excellent people skills to interact with customers, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
    • Works efficiently under pressure and meets deadlines and targets
    • Goal-orientated (high level and task completion)
    • Self-motivated and pro-active, able to execute tasks personally and manage own time
    • Able to work alone and in teams
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills in German and English
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Persuasive communication skills (written and spoken)


    Preference will be given to candidates who can also demonstrate:

    • Experience working for a SaaS or technology company
    • Knowledge of our key markets: oil & gas, chemical, pharma, metals & mining or utilities industries
    • Proficiency in other (local) languages besides English is a plus
